To connect MaxOptra with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you need to set up a Microsoft Entra application. Think of this as creating a secure pass that allows MaxOptra to communicate with your Business Central system
Follow the Tango guide, or refer to the step-by-step instructions provided below
Note – Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure you have the following:
Azure App Client ID – Obtain your Azure app client ID. Please refer to Find the necessary Business Central IDs.
MaxOptra BC Extension – Ensure the MaxOptra BC extension has been deployed in Business Central. Please refer to Deploying MaxOptra BC extension in BC
Create a Microsoft Entra Application
1) In Microsoft Dynamics 365, click the Search button
2) Type "Entra" and click Microsoft Entra Applications
3) Click New
4) Enter the Azure app client ID into the Client ID field
Please refer to Step 1 - 5 from the document Find the necessary Business Central IDs required by the MaxOptra BC integration
5) Enter a name in the Description field, e.g. "MaxOptra"
6) Click the Select button (...) for the App ID field
7) Find and select the extension for the MaxOptra BC Integration
8) Select "Enabled" from the State field dropdown
9) Click Yes
Configuring Entra Application Permission Sets
The following Permission Sets need to be configured:
D365 AUTOMATION
D365 SALES
D365 SALES DOC, EDIT
D365 SALES DOC, POST
MAXOPTRA PERMISSIONS (Requires MaxOptra BC Integration extension)
Note May also require other permission sets from other extensions if they affect the Sales Order
10) Click the empty cell under Permission Set.
11) Click the three-dot button (...) to view the Permission Set values
12) Select D365 AUTOMATION and click OK
13) Click the empty cell under the existing Permission Set entry
14) Select D365 SALES and click OK
15) Click the empty cell under the existing Permission Set entry
16) Select D365 SALES DOC, EDIT and click OK
17) Click the empty cell under the existing Permission Set entry
18) Select D365 SALES DOC, POST and click OK
19) Click the empty cell under the existing Permission Set entry
20) Find and click on MaxOptra Permissions and click OK
This Permission Set is part of the MaxOptra extension. It needs to be deployed before it can be found and selected. You can find detailed deployment steps in the Deploying MaxOptra BC Extension in Business Central document
