The MaxOptra platform is able to get information about vehicles driving along the roads from the external GPS tracking systems. GPS coordinates are received according to the Protocol to get GPS coordinates.
The following external GPS-tracking systems are supported for integration with MaxOptra:
TomTom
Garmin
Webfleet
Navman
Samsara
Note MaxOptra supports GPS data receipt for all servers.
The integration of external GPS-trackers to MaxOptra is the mutual procedure. Certain settings should be made both on the GPS-tracker and on the MaxOptra side.
How to set up TomTom/Webfleet (or Garmin/Navman) in a your account.
Create a user for MaxOptra in your Webfleet with Webfleet.connect access rights, and let MaxOptra know the log on details (https://us.support.webfleet.com/app/help/detail/a_id/3887).
The MaxOptra support team will amend the settings in your account at the requested time, to pick up TomTom vehicle information and will create a Webfleet user in your MaxOptra account.
Update your vehicles to TomTom and assign the vehicle code from Webfleet. We will do this at set up and will send you information about how to do this as well.
Your vehicles will be seen on the planning screen when their TomTom devices enabled and location updates will occur based on the vehicles visiting your customer location's geo-fence area.
The procedure of Garmin / Navman integration is basically the same.
