Map on the Table view

Written by Arthur Ashdown

The following objects can be displayed on the map:

  • The Depots are displayed on the map by default.

  • Orders. All Orders are repeated on the Map. To see the unplanned orders on the map, click the order card on the Unplanned order list on the right pane of the screen. The order's drop off point is displayed on the map. To display all the unplanned orders on the map click the

(Unplanned orders) button in the map actions menu (to open the menu, click

on the map). The drop off point of each unplanned order is displayed. The order label at each point displays the end time of the drop off window for that order. The selected order is marked with white label. If you click the order label on the map, its card is highlighted in blue on the Unplanned Order list:

As we have two types of orders - delivery and collection orders - they are displayed on the map by two different markers:

Delivery order markers on the map

Collection order markers on the map

MaxOptra considers that sometimes the dispatcher has multiple orders to be delivered to different customers allocated in the same location. The dispatcher expects MaxOptra to consolidate these orders on the map at the same point. The multiple order which is allocated in the same location will be identified on the map as a circle with the number of orders allocated in this “cluster”

You can expand or collapse a cluster to check the orders allocated in that cluster by clicking on it. If the cluster orders have any special vehicle requirements the cluster will be outlined by red line to notify the dispatcher about special requirement attached to that particular order.

During planning, you have a possibility to select several cluster orders at the same time and assign them to one vehicle. To do it, hold the CTRL key and select the clusters with your mouse.

Hover a cursor over the order marker on the map to see the order information in the pop-up window.

  • The Route scheduled for a particular vehicle. Using the map you can monitor all orders and all routes. Each route has its own colour. To display the route on the map click the vehicle you need in the left pane of the screen. Then click the order markers on the map to highlight the relevant orders in a particular vehicle schedule. See an example below:

Note Routes can be displayed on the map in two different modes:

Route drawn along the roads (using geo routing)

Route drawn as a schema

a) The route drawn as a schema means straight lines connecting the adjacent route points, not taking into account the roads. This mode is a default one.

b) The route drawn using geo routing means the route drawn along the roads. This mode is activated by clicking the

("Geo routing") button in the map actions menu.

  • The Vehicles. When the order details are sent to the driver and he starts off for the order, you can monitor the vehicle moving along the roads on the map.
