Map on the Gantt Chart: View modes of the Map

Geocode Map Options

In MaxOptra it is possible to change the default geocode map. Hover the cursor over the

button at the bottom left corner of the map: the pop-up window with alternative types of maps that can be used in MaxOptra is displayed:

To scroll around the map, move the cursor around the map whilst holding down the left mouse button.

Zoom in / Zoom out

You can zoom in and out on the map using the

button or just scroll the mouse wheel up and down.

Colour Map Filter

To show orders having special requirements (vehicle requirements, types of orders, additional attributes etc.) on the map, the colour filter is used. Click the

icon to display the filter bar on the map.

You can hide the filter bar to clear the space on the map when the filter is not needed.

Map Actions

Map action controls will allow you to perform a number of important actions with the map. Click the

icon on the map. A menu is displayed, where you can select the map actions you need.

The map actions are as follows:

  • Routes on the map Clicking the

    button will display all planned for the current distribution centre routes on the map. The button will change into

    . To hide all routes from the map, click the

    button again.

  • Routes for all distribution centres If you have two or more distribution centres, the

    button will appear in the toolbar. Clicking this button will display all routes for all distribution centres on the map. The routes for the current distribution centre will be coloured, and the routes for other distribution centres will be displayed in grey. The button itself will change to

    . Clicking the

    . Clicking the

    button will hide all routes from the map, except the routes for the current distribution centres.

  • Geo routing Clicking the

    button will display the routes drawn along the roads. Otherwise the route will be shown as a number of straight lines, connecting the customer locations.

  • Vehicles When the order details are sent to a driver and they off for the order, you can monitor the vehicle moving along the roads on the map. To display the vehicles on the map, click the

    button.

  • Territories If you have Territories / Groups of territories set up, and want them to be displayed on the map, click the

    button.

  • Speed zones If you have Speed Zones set up, and want them to be displayed on the map, click the

    button.

  • Linked orders If you use the Pickup & Delivery functionality and want the linked orders of the same consignment to be displayed on the map, click the

    button.

  • Unplanned orders. If you want to show or hide the unplanned orders on the map, click the

    button.

  • Orders priority. If you want to see orders priority, click the

    button. The priority coding will be displayed above the order sign.

Marker views

Below the main map actions, you can see the sub-menu of marker views. Click it to see the options.

By clicking the

Simple marker, an order on the map will look like this.

If you want to see order markers indicating the start of the orders operation time windows, click the

Start window button.

If you want to see order markers indicating the end of the orders operation time windows, click on the

End window button.

If you need to see order markers indicating special vehicle requirements, click the

Vehicle requirements button. The vehicle requirement abbreviations will be displayed in order markers on the map, and the markers with vehicle requirements will be highlighted by red line to notify the dispatcher about special requirements assigned to the orders.

To display the colour markers of vehicle requirements, click the

Coloured marker button. Orders with vehicle requirements will be coloured according to the legend on the colour panel.
