MaxOptra Website Widget is designed to give your customers the ability to track and trace order delivery on the map from your company's website. Your customer just needs to type order reference into the Widget's input field or just click the link from the notification messageand receive information about current order status, estimated time of order delivery and the vehicle position on the map.Vehicle position on the map is displayed based on data received from the driver's mobile device. As soon as the driver reports via his mobile device that he starts off for an order, the information on vehicle location will be displayed on the widget's map.

You can share real time ETA information directly with your customers even if you do not have your own delivery tracking website. The widget funcationality can be embedded into your own website or located on a MaxOptra-owned location.

To select the widget version you want to use, under the Account Administrator role go to Settings>Order tracking widget. On this screen, specify the appropriate field:

If you use widget on the MaxOptra domain, to give you customer the possibility to track order on the map. When notifying the customer about some events associated with order execution, specify the link to the widget address. Using this link your customer can track his order on the map of the widget located on the MaxOptra domain. (To know how to set the link to the widget address, read the section "Using the link from sms or e-mail notification" below.

How to set up MaxOptra Website Widget

MaxOptra Website Widget is inserted in the company's webpage.

The Widget source script code is available under the Account Administrator role at Settings> Widget preivew . Copy source script code from the text field and paste it into your company's webpage code.

Currently, you can change the widget wording and the colors by changing values in the source code only. To resize the widget to be extended across the width of the screen for correct display on any device, that is to say, to be adaptive to any screen window size, in the widget source code, replace w=500 with w=0:

How MaxOptra Website Widget works

To test how MaxOptra Website Widget works, enter your order reference to the input field and click the Search button. The vehicle location and the customer location (the place of destination) will be displayed on the map:

Note The vehicle and order locations are displayed in the widget window, no matter what the order status is, if the vehicle and order coordinates are available from server.

Using the link from SMS or E-mail notification

Another (much simpler) possibility for your customer to track their order through the website widget is to use a link specified in the SMS or E-mail notification.

When notifying a customer about some events associated with order execution, you can specify the location widget address using which your customer can track his or her order. In this case, everything a customer needs is to click on the link given in notification message.

To notify the customer about the order current location, you have to set this option in MaxOptra. To set the option of customer notification about the current vehicle location, go back to Settings>Order tracking widget and fill in the Widget location field by specifying the address of your website widget for the order current location tracking.

Note If you use the widget on the MaxOptra domain, the appropriate address will be specified in the Widget location field automatically.

Now, when the widget address is specified, you can create a message with a link to the website widget to send it to your customer to track an order. Open the SMS/Email messages (Notification templates) screen, and in the Action list, select the action you need and start editing your message. To send a link to your website widget when creating a message, use the option of automatic insertion to add Location widget address tag:

By following this link, the customer can track the order on the widget's map on your company's website or on the map of the widget located on the MaxOptra domain.
