Orders and runs in Android mobile application: Customer location update upon arrival (Android app)

Written by Arthur Ashdown

After you arrive at the customer location, click the Arrive button to complete the order. If you have the Enable update customer location on arrival setting activated for your account, the customer location coordinates in the MaxOptra system will be updated according to the current GPS position, and the customer location will be marked in the system a Location is verified (Settings>Customer locations):

However, sometimes the driver may click the Arrived button in the wrong location. The request for customer location update option will help to avoid false customer location updates.

How the Customer Location Update Works in MaxOptra

If you need the setting Enable update customer location on arrival activated for you, contact the MaxOptra Support Team. After the setting is enabled, you will see it on Settings> Execution preferences.

Now after clicking the Arrived button, the phone will show the request message: The customer's accurate location is not stored in MaxOptra database. Would you like to update this location to your current GPS position?

If you click the Yes button, the customer location coordinates in MaxOptra database and its geozone location will be updated according to the current GPS position. The customer location will be checked in the system as "Location is verified" and the information about the time and date and the user who last verified this customer location will be displayed.

If you click the No button, the customer location coordinates do not change and the customer location remains unverified.

Note In case the GPS signal is off at the moment of clicking on the Arrived button, the request for a customer location update will be dropped. The customer location coordinates in MaxOptra database will not change in this case.
