A Distribution centre (DC) is one of the main objects that is used for planning. This is where the vehicles start from and return to. Deliveries are loaded and collections are returned back to the distribution centre. You can have more than one distribution center but you have to have at least one DC to work with MaxOptra.
To create a Distribution centre, make sure the selected role is Account Administrator.
Go to the Settings tab and select the Distribution centr page:
Click Add to create a distribution centre:
Fill in your distribution centre Name and Address. Click Search on map
if you want to make sure the address was recognized correctly:
Fill in your distribution centre operating hours. Vehicles should be loaded and unloaded at the DC within these working hours. Unless you have special requirements, we recommend starting with the widest possible working hours like 00:00 to 23:59:
Set up the default limits that will be applied to all drivers of this distribution centre. These fields are optional, but if you set them up, they will affect the planning. For more details, see Distribution centre parameters.
Daily driving limit limits the driving hours per working day.
Run duration limit limits the duration of each run the driver will make during the working day. This may be useful for cases when your driver makes multiple runs each day and you want to restrict the time each run can take.
Duty time limit limits the total working hours of a driver during the day, which includes driving, loading and unloading, waiting, etc.
Click Save to save your changes:
