A Distribution centre (DC) is one of the main objects used for planning. This is where the vehicles start from and return to. Deliveries are loaded and collections are returned back to the Distribution centre. You can have more than one distribution centre but you have to have at least one DC to work with MaxOptra.
Some parameters of a distribution centre can affect automatic planning during scheduling. The loading time should be within the operations time of a distribution centre. Only those orders that belong tocustomer locationsof the current distribution centre will be planned.
Note During manual planning these rules can be ignored.
To create a distribution centre, make sure the selected role is Account Administrator and you are on a Distribution centres page of the Settings tab:
On the bottom toolbar of the screen, click Add and the following screen will now appear:
Fill in the following DC information:
In the Name field fill in the name of a distribution centre.
In the Address field, you can specify the distribution centre address by doing one of the following: Start typing the address in the field marked Address. The addresses will be suggested automatically. Select the appropriate DC address. Alternatively, using the map, click

On the right side of the screen, you will see the working hours of a distribution centre. Here you will need to specify the ‘from' and ‘to' time for each day of the week when a distribution centre is ready to deal with orders being loaded to vehicles.
