5.21 Release notes

Written by Andrei Mogosanu

🆕 New Features / Changes

Two-factor authentication for all user roles

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is now available for every user role in MaxOptra.

Previously, 2FA only applied to admin users. From version 5.21, it applies to all roles on your account, as long as your account has 2FA enabled.

When 2FA is active, users are prompted to register and log in with a one-time password. Enrollment is not mandatory. Users can choose to skip it.

To enable 2FA on your account, email [email protected].

Download proof of delivery from the tracking widget

Customers can now download a proof of delivery (POD) document directly from the tracking widget.

To turn this on:

  1. Log in as an admin.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select Tracking Widget Settings.

  4. Open Digital POD Options and enable Download POD.

This option is also available via the APIv6 endpoint: /orders/{reference}/pod-pdf

APIv6 – Multiple contact emails for customer locations

You can now add multiple contact emails to a customer location using the APIv6 API.

Use the additionalContactEmails field to pass a list of email addresses:

"additionalContactEmails": [ "[email protected]", "[email protected]", "[email protected]" ]

Truck attributes map layer

MaxOptra now includes a map layer that shows truck restrictions on your routes.

This is part of an upgraded PTV integration in version 5.21. The layer displays icons for road restrictions that affect large vehicles.

To switch to this map layer:

  1. Open Map Settings.

  2. Select PTV Truck Attributes layer.

If you do not see this option, PTV may not be enabled on your account. Contact [email protected] to find out more.
