Since MaxOptra has built the plan for vehicles, it knows where a vehicle should be at any point in time during the day and the GPS tracker can provide the position where the vehicle actually is. By comparing the two, MaxOptracan draw meaningful conclusions about how well the vehicle is following the plan.
MaxOptra can integrate with a variety of different tracking platforms. If your vehicles have GPS trackers on them but the tracking is not yet connected to MaxOptra, please contact our Support Team to find out if your solution is supported. Also note that when using the MaxOptra Android driver application or another supported mobility solution even more useful information can be fed back and analyzed.
Routes and Orders on Track & Trace Screen
Track & Trace can be used by either a dispatcher or customer service user
To start click on the Track & Trace tab, then a list of driver/vehicle runs will be displayed
The loading bar displays a summary of the drivers current run, including the delivery status of each order and a percentage of completed locations according to GPS data
Each route will have some basic information about it in its title and the list of planned locations in order. Each location can be related to one or more orders.
Click the order reference in the Orders column to see the order information:
Arrival/Departure Times and Colour-Coding
Since MaxOptra knows the locations of the orders it can monitor when a vehicle actually arrives at that location and departs from it. The actual arrival and departure times are shown in the Arrival and Departure columns:
Note: Actual arrivals and departures are tracked using GPS and stop point area (Geozone with a radius of 200 meters—customised in the account setting). The numbers in brackets show the deviation from the planned time:
To customise what data is displayed on the Track & Trace screen, click on Customise to select an array of columns to be displayed.
See the Route on the Map
If you want to dig deeper into what happened on that route you can always click on the map icon. The map displays the scheduled and actual routes of the selected run, allowing you to move the tracking pin along the timeline to view the vehicle's journey, tracking points and order points
Track & Trace includes a visual representation of a geozone, a radius is used to determine if the driver has visited the customer or not. This geozone can be edited by moving and adjusting the radius.
