In the MaxOptra System, after creating each new vehicle (For more information about creating vehicles, , see Creating vehicles), the system will automatically offer to create a driver with the name Driver of (Vehicle name) and assign this driver to this vehicle:
After you confirm the creation of a driver for a vehicle, the system will create a driver with the name Driver of (Vehicle name and External ID fields):
Now, the name and the parameters of the created driver can be edited.
Drivers can also be created separately, as described in Creating drivers and then assigned to the existing vehicle manually.
To assign a driver to a vehicle, make sure the selected role is Account Administrator and you are on the Drivers page of the Settings tab. Select the driver not assigned to any vehicle and the details for this driver will be displayed. Select the appropriate vehicle from the Vehicle drop-down:
Click Update defaults
Note Only vehicles without drivers who are assigned to the same distribution centre are available in the list.
Click Save to save your changes.
